Out of the Ordinary, It’s in my Element

Altelement originated from my tween escapism. Fleeing to a world of my own, inside the comforting woes of Lana Del Ray in my corded headphones and Tumblr blog lighting up my HP laptop.  

My love for curation, cinematic romance, and imagining otherworldly realms where I could embody creativity began here. Blooming beyond my small town, I grew into an artist who can help be the light to others along their journey. The name of my old Tumblr blog shifted to a brand that honors my alternative ideals. 

Wherever you are in your journey, I am here to meet you with warmth. I align these sessions to create a space where BIPOC and queer baddies feel safe, celebrated, and fully themselves in front of my lens. Understanding how harsh the camera can feel, I aim to bring the fun and softness that allows you to feel comfortable.

BACKGROUND

As a creative portrait photographer with 10 years of experience and a Bachelor of Arts in Commercial Photography, I’m dedicated to a non-traditional life path. I’ve worked a variety of creative jobs, such as vintage curator, social media creator/manager, and customer service specialist for a women-led small business in North Carolina. I love celebrating every individual's uniqueness and capturing stories in a professional yet personal way.
